Vega back in Singapore at Raffles getting ready for the boat show

Well 2 days ago we arrived back in Singapore, went straight to our favorite marina there Raffles. The sail down from Langkawi was fun but a bit more wind would have been helpful. Along the way we stopped in Penang for the first time as the new Straights Quay Marina is now open and once everything settles down will become THE Marina for that area. Small and comfortable with loads of facilities right at hand Straights Quay is now high on our favorites list. This visit to Singapore is a critical one for us every year as it is now that we at last start to see how our efforts all winter will show results in the form of school and medical supplies as well as all the other items we have been ask for and hope to deliver to the people and projects we assist. So far it is looking very good with only a few items still outstanding. Although I have a feeling that when we leave Jakarta this year we will be sleeping on deck at least as far as Oecussi in East Timor.
